Bad Boys Bad Boys

Bad Boys Bad Boys….

We all want to have the utmost faith and belief in our system and for the most part with my experience in the system; I do have the utmost respect for the men and women working the street to the lawyers working the desk. I think over all we do have a great system here. (Even though we do have problems in the system, because the system is composed of humans and all humans make errors.)

The point of this blog is the bad boys and the bad things that happen with some of the flaws within our system. What happens when bad boys do bad things?

First I want to give my deepest sympathies to all the families and officers involved in this horrible tragedy.

The Off Duty Deputy…

The off duty deputy in Crandon Wisconsin was a 20 year old Deputy Sheriff. Tyler Peterson was hired to protect and serve and the people of the community cannot understand how he passed a background check.

It is reported that he has killed 6 people and injured one and now is reported to be deceased. The Police Chief assured the people of the community the killer was no longer a danger to the people of the community. (Authorities fatally shot him.)

I think this would have to be one of the worst situations ever for the police, to have to fatally shoot one of their own. To have that bond, that brotherhood and the comradely and then it all has to come to a violent end.

May God bless each and every one of the officers and family involved in this horrible tragedy.

The Prosecutor...

DETROIT - A federal prosecutor from Florida accused of flying to Detroit last month to molest a 5-year-old girl committed suicide in his cell Friday in federal prison, authorities said.

Assistant U.S. Attorney John D.R. Atchison was found unresponsive, taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, said Felicia Ponce, spokeswoman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Washington. A previous suicide attempt was foiled in September, according to authorities.

Atchison, 53, was arrested last month at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after weeks of Internet conversations between the prosecutor and a detective posing as the mother of a 5-year-old girl, authorities have said.
He was carrying presents for the girl, including a doll and hoop earrings, and also had sexual materials, including petroleum jelly.

His attorney was quoted in a statement released Friday by his lawyer, James Thomas; said Atchison had "done a lot of good in his life."

"Unfortunately, he is going to be judged by his most recent charges and what we have read in the media, and not by the goodness, hard work or by the love of his family," the statement read.

Again, I offer my deepest sympathies to his family.

My point in this blog is bad things do happen within our great system. Granted people will turn this post into something it was not meant to be. This is in no attempt to say bad things have happened in the Kocis case. Please do not twist this into what you want to believe.

This post was posted to offer sympathies to families and officers and to make a point that bad things do happen within our system.

The sad but true stories can continue and continue. These examples are pretty extreme in both cases. Not often we hear stories like the deputy or prosecutor.
