Cancel the BOL… McElroy has been arrested.

James Kenneth McElroy has been arrested for the murder of his father and stabbing of his mother and sister.

His car was spotted in the Camden Woods Apartments last night where deputies were able to arrest McElroy.

The Sheriff’s Office is not releasing a lot of information about this case.

There has been a history of violence at the McElroy home. Two years ago a dispute became so bad that James had to be hospitalized for injuries sustained from the results of that dispute. Charges were dropped in this case when the mother said it self defense, that James K. McElroy attacked his dad..

The unharmed sister was able to escape the home and call 911. No information has been released from the 911 call and what the sister said to the dispatcher when she called.

Even though the Sheriff’s Office is not releasing a lot of information, the neighbors are.

According to the neighbors, they have witnessed James McElroy run away from home, they have seen father and son sparring that turned into fighting and neighbors heard shouting from the McElroy home. One neighbor said they fought and James did not get along with his father, they were wild and combative.

Some neighbors saw James McElroy as a troubled teen who tried to run away from home to escape it all. Some say James McElroy would dress in Gothic Style clothing and was just weird.

Neighbors said the McElroy’s were never considered a nuisance in the year they lived in the neighborhood.

As Deputies were on the scene one neighbor that seen James McElroy the night before said he wondered if he should have sensed something was seriously wrong when James McElroy looked at him and said “You wish something could have happened to save those people.”
