What a day in court!!

What a crazy day in court for the Casey Anthony trial!!

It got to the point to where the judge finally had to step in and dismiss the jury and point out to the attorneys again that they could not question a witness about pictures that has not been entered into evidence. The sad part he just had a sidebar and discussed this issue with the prosecution and defense and the defense continued to ask the same questions about the same picture.

People can say what they want to about George Anthony, but I personally think he done an awesome job on the stand today staying composed. If I were George I'm not sure how I would have reacted to any questions from the defense especially since a couple of days ago the defense made claims that George Anthony & Lee Anthony sexually assaulted Casey.

I also have to agree with George and I don't the defense was doing a very good job asking the questions. The defense was not being specific about what they were asking and George was quick to tell the defense that he would gladly answer any questions if the defense would be more direct and give dates and times.

Even the prosecution excused a witness early for lunch and no one anticipated that the defense would recall the witness before the afternoon session.

So of course the judge wasn’t happy about that and warned the prosecution not to do that again since he told the witness to remain outside.

Now one interesting point, every witness testified that from the day that Caylee disappeared there was no change in Casey’s attitude or behavior until over 30 days past the date that Caylee died.

She was still out working as a shot girl and a party girl according to some witnesses.

The main point the defense made today with the witnesses was they could not introduce evidence about how Caylee died.

It was also interesting to learn that Casey did not want people close to the trunk of her car. She even ran to the garage so she could get the gas cans so her dad did not see inside her trunk.

It was also interesting to see the video of Casey in jail talking to her mom and George. Cindy told Casey now there was a rumor going around that Caylee drowned in the pool and Casey’s response was surprise, surprise. Now the drowning is her main defense.

I still think that it’s sickening that we the tax payers have wasted thousands and thousands of dollars to defend her.

Anyway, tomorrow should be another interested day and we are waiting to hear from Cindy Anthony. We do not know when she will testify but it should be interesting.

Another point that was brought up in the media today was the fact that George has a temper and sprayed reported with the water hose at his house one night. I don’t blame him. I would have probably done worse. The press was at his house 24/7 and throwing rocks at the house, knocking on the door at all hours.

And they claim it’s the right of the press to harass people at their homes to get the breaking news.

Anyway, the case goes on, what are your thoughts about the trial today?

Casey Anthonys Defense Opening Statements Tomorrow!!

Jose Baez has been all over the television stating that within the first minute of his opening statement that we will learn about the defense of this case.

I just hope the defense can come up with something better than the list of reasons why Casey shouldn't be put to death, if convicted.

In my last post the list of reasons the defense brought up and I'm still trying to figure out why or how the defense thinks that list of reasons should spare anyone from the death penalty.

My favorite reason is insomnia. I suffer from insomnia and I have not murdered, and I think that if I did murder someone that I should be put to death. I could never see insomnia being a reason to spare someone the death penalty.

Personally I think the defense is using a lot of smoke and mirrors right now. They want to try to show some doubt about her guilt and willing to use any reason they can to do that. And regardless of who they try to frame for the murder. Since the defense has posted in the media that they plan to blame the family if she is convicted.

Tomorrow should be interesting to hear the opening statements of this case.

I will be so glad when this case is over!!

I have been sick and tired of this case for a long time now and cannot wait until that final day when the jury says "We find Casey Anthony...."

I am glad to see the dream team ( or nightmare team of attorneys depending on how you view attorneys in general) has been so hard at work. I had to laugh at what was reported in the paper.

According to the Orlando Sentinel

The defense revealed how they are planning to save Casey Anthony’s life.

They plan on saving her from the death penalty, why I don’t know. Take a life, lose your life, seems like a fair system but the defense has spent thousands of dollars to come up with this great defense.

First line of defense our dream team came up with is she was taught to project a false appearance.

That should be pretty obvious from all of the lies she has told in this case.

Second they want to claim poor Casey was used as a decoy or pawn by her parents and a scapegoat for parental misconduct.

Now if these reasons for the murder fail to persuade the court the dream team has put together a backup list of reason why she may have murdered her own daughter.

The first plan of attack if Casey is convicted is to blame her family.

Then the dream team has the following list of reasons why Casey should be spared the death penalty if convicted.

1)      Lack of maturity

2)      No impulse control

3)      History of sexual abuse

4)      Insomnia

5)      Nightmares

6)      No parental guidance

7)      No parental protection

8)      Verbal and emotional abuse as a child

9)      And last but not least, poor coping skills.

You have got to be kidding me; this is all the defense could come up with.

They were all in the media telling everyone that we would all be shocked to learn the truth and what really happened and that the prosecution could not prove how Caylee died and now they want to throw the family under the bus and blame them.

After all the pre-trial publicity from the defense, this is honestly what they came up with?

Why have we wasted the thousands of dollars to defend her if they are already trying to place blame on the family. That defense could have been taken care of over lunch one day and save the taxpayers a lot of time and money.

I just have to wonder why and how insomnia plays into committing murder. I suffer from insomnia and never once have I thought about killing anyone so I could sleep better.

Anyway, I planned on writing a post to get your feedback only and what you have watched on TV about the trial but even though I am sick of hearing about this case, you know me once I get started I cannot stop!!
