That’s right; a New Port Richey teenager was arrested for DUI while driving a golf cart.
Steven Lee Proctor, 18, was booked for DUI while riding along in his golf cart.
Officers reported that Proctor had a dazed look about him and slurred speech and of course he had to have some watery bloodshot eyes.
Not to mention it was also reported that Proctor reeked of an alcoholic beverage.
Proctor’s blood alcohol level was 0.137 and 0.134 percent.
There was no information about what lead to the arrest, so we don’t know if it was a call to the police or if he was driving erratic.
Wonder how many times he went across the lines on the road before he got pulled over..
Anyway, what do you think about being arrested in a Golf Cart?
It was also not reported where he was driving the golf cart, was he upon the roadway or was he within the property of the golf course?
Anyway it would be interesting to learn a few more details about this case.
I know when I was in Law Enforcement it was illegal to operate any motorized vehicle upon the roadway while under the influence. And even though we did not have golf carts in the area where I grew up and worked, we did have mopeds and all kinds of man made motorized vehicles on the roadways. Of course I have arrested some that were driving something other than a car for DUI.
Anyway, what do you think about this arrest?

Worthy of "The Smoking Gun Presents..."
Sadly though that show I've seen quite a few crazy things - like people reporting themselves drunk to law enforcement and people being pulled over driving a motorized ball stool (among other things!)
But like you, Jakester, I'm curious to where he was pulled over.
(P.S. Couldn't edit, so had to delete due to silly grammar the previous post for I didn't catch it until after I hit publish. Sorry!)
I agree Eccentric Lady, this would be worthy of The Smoking Gun Presents...LOL
Is it me or is it people are just getting more and more stupid...
It's amazing what we have to encounter these days...
