Back on Tuesday, January 06, 2009 we read about the death of Nicole Hammond. She was staying with her boyfriend, Jonathan Speegle at the Marriott World Center near Disney for New Years Eve.
Something went terribly wrong with that New Years Eve event. Nicole Hammond died after falling 16 stories from a hotel balcony.
Police initially said they were not going to say she was murdered but they were asking anyone with any information about that night to come forward.
Police were calling boyfriend Jonathan Speegle a witness at the time or a person of interest.
But that soon changed.
I don’t know if they were able to recover helpful information from the hotel surveillance tapes or witnesses actually came forward to talk to the investigators about who done what and why.
Anyway during the course of this investigation Jonathan Speegle was allowed to return to Lawton, Okla., where he was staying with family.
With the investigators keep a tight lid on this case a lot of information has not been released about the events that lead to the death of Nicole Hammond.
However, as of Saturday January 31, 2009, Jonathan Speegle has been welcomed to the Orange County Jail as he was booked into jail as inmate #09004869 and charged with First-Degree Murder.
*** Note *** According to the media Speegle was charged with First-Degree Murder. According to the jail web site he has been charged with Second-Degree Murder. At the time of this post there was no record found at the Orange County Clerk of Court site.
