Major Fugitive Arrested

On June 6, 2009, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called to the scene of what appeared to be a homicide of Tiffany Nicole Williams (victim). Williams, the girlfriend of the suspect, had been dead for two days and appeared to have been involved in a struggle. Further investigation determined that Williams was strangled to death using a cell phone cord.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was able to identify a suspect by the name of Adnan Almayahi (boyfriend), and secured an arrest warrant for homicide.

After endeavors by the Jacksonville Sherriff’s Office yielded negative results in locating Almayahi, they requested assistance from the United States Marshals Service, Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF).

An intense investigation by the FRFTF developed information suggesting Almayahi had fled to the Dearborn/Detroit area.

On June 9th the FRFTF coordinated with the United States Marshals Service, Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Task Force (DFAT), with a probable hiding location for Almayahi.

DFAT, with the assistance of the Dearborn Police Department (Special Operations Unit), conducted surveillance at addresses in the Dearborn/Detroit metro area.

DFAT identified a positive location for Almayahi at the address of 5711 Lumley, Detroit, MI. Next, DFAT and the Dearborn Police Department entered the Lumley residence. After a search, Almayahi was located hiding under the stairs in the basement. Almayahi was arrested without further incident.

Almayahi will be housed at the Wayne County Jail pending extradition to Jacksonville, Florida.

U.S. MARSHALS ADD MEMPHIS MURDER SUSPECT TO
15 MOST WANTED FUGITIVE LIST

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Marshals Service announced today the addition of a Memphis man, who is wanted in Tennessee for first-degree murder and criminal attempt first-degree murder, to its list of 15 Most Wanted fugitives.

Robert Lee King, 45, allegedly murdered his girlfriend Dorothy Smith and attempted to murder her 20-year-old daughter Diana Dec. 1, 2005.

Diana Smith says she was awakened by an argument between her mother and King at 4 a.m., went to her mother's bedroom and witnessed King standing over and striking her mother. The 20-year-old ran from the room to call for help, but says King chased after her. She tried to lock herself in her bedroom, but King broke through the door, attacked her with a sharp object and cut her neck. King then fled from the home.

After King left the house, Diana Smith went to check on her mother and found her lying on the bedroom floor bleeding profusely from a cut on her neck. When rescue personnel arrived, Dorothy Smith was pronounced dead on the scene and her daughter was transported to the hospital in critical condition. She was later able to identify King in a photo line up as the man who attacked her and her mother.

“Robert Lee King's vicious attack on the Smith family reveals his total lack of human decency. Capturing him is one of our highest priorities,” said U.S. Marshals Service Director John F. Clark. “We will use all available resources to bring this violent criminal to justice.”

Diana Smith has made a full recovery and continues to assist law enforcement in capturing the man she claims so callously took her mother from her.

“I am glad the U.S. Marshals Service is now involved with this investigation. Once King is brought to justice my sister and I can stop looking over our shoulders and have some peace of mind knowing he will be off the streets,” Smith said.

King is a black male, 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and medium skin tone. He has no known scars or tattoos.

A $25,000 reward is offered for information leading directly to King's arrest. Anyone with information regarding King's location is asked to contact the nearest U.S. Marshals office, call the U.S. Marshals 24-hour hotline at 1-800-366-0102 or provide information at www.usmarshals.com.

In fiscal year 2008, the U.S. Marshals arrested more than 36,600 federal fugitive felons, clearing 39,700 federal felony warrants – more than all other law enforcement agencies combined. Working with authorities at the federal, state, and local levels, U.S. Marshals-led fugitive task forces arrested more than 73,000 state and local fugitives, clearing 90,600 state and local felony warrants.

SUSPECTED GRANDMOTHER KILLER ADDED TO U.S. MARSHALS
15 MOST WANTED FUGITIVE LIST

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Marshals announced today the addition of Joseph Elias George Ettima to the service’s 15 Most Wanted fugitive list. Ettima is wanted in California in connection with the murder of his grandmother. Along with the homicide charge, he is also wanted for robbery, arson, child endangerment and parole violation.

Ettima, who was recently paroled from prison, is accused of allegedly killing his 69-year-old grandmother, Emma Hardwick-Street, on Jan. 19. Authorities in Los Alamitos believe he set fire to her body and house to cover up the crime, before he fled the area. This crime is particularly heinous in that two young children were in the home at the time of the murder.

One day after the murder, the Los Alamitos Police Department requested assistance from the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force.

“Ettima has demonstrated a proclivity for violence for many years; these latest crimes reveal his complete disregard for human life. Capturing him is one of our highest priorities,” said Director John F. Clark of the U.S. Marshals Service. “We will use all available resources to bring this violent criminal to justice.”

Ettima has an extensive criminal history that includes robbery, weapons possession, manufacturing of weapons, battery and indecent exposure. The California Department of Corrections deemed Ettima mentally incompetent.

“Joseph Ettima has shown a complete disregard for the rule of law and human life,” said Thomas Hession Chief Inspector of the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force. “Bringing Ettima in to face these charges is the top priority of this task force.”

Investigators believe Ettima may have fled to Mexico and received a reported sighting of him in Tijuana on Jan. 20. He is known to wear African or Cuban style clothing and speaks Spanish, Swahili and Caribbean languages. He has used several aliases in the past including Jamal Harris, Yusuf Ettima, Yusef Ettima, Yusuf Eligha and Cuba.

Ettima is a 25-year-old black male, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 155 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. He has scars on his abdomen and left forearm.

A $25,000 reward is offered for information leading directly to Ettima’s arrest. Ettima has a long history of violence with weapons. If you have information about Joseph Elias George Ettima’s whereabouts, immediately contact your nearest U.S. Marshals office or call the Marshals 24-hour hotline at 1-800-336-0102.

U.S. Marshals asking for help.. They want to find Fredrick McLean

U.S. MARSHALS ASK FOR PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN THE MANHUNT FOR 15 MOST WANTED FUGITIVE AND ALLEGED SEXUAL PREDATOR FREDERICK McLEAN

WASHINGTON – U.S. Marshals in Southern California are more determined than ever to bring Frederick McLean to justice. McLean, an alleged sexual predator, is on the run and U.S. Marshals believe his crimes are so heinous they earned him a spot on the Marshals’ 15 Most Wanted fugitive list in 2006.

“This fugitive has evaded capture for nearly three years, but he needs to know that we will never cease our efforts of hunting him down,” said George W. Venables, United States Marshal for the Southern District of California. “We are absolutely resolute in our commitment to bringing in Frederick McLean to face the charges brought against him.”

The San Diego Fugitive Task Force recently executed a search warrant and obtained new leads and updated photos on Frederick McLean.

Fugitive Frederick McLean, 57, is wanted on multiple counts of sexual assault on a child, but according to Supervisor Deputy U.S. Marshal Steve Jurman of the San Diego Fugitive Task Force, “multiple counts” is an understatement.

Jurman explained, one alleged victim, now an adult, reported McLean assaulted her more than 100 times, starting when she was five and ending about seven years later.

“We believe McLean’s abusive acts against young victims span over a 20-year period, and are likely to continue until he is caught,” Jurman said. “It is imperative that predators like this be taken off the streets. Public assistance is one of law enforcements greatest assets and is essential to locating McLean.”

An arrest warrant was issued January 20, 2005, for McLean, but authorities believe he sensed his days of freedom were numbered almost six months prior. In May 2004, family members confronted McLean regarding a young female victim’s allegations of molestation. McLean admitted they were true, and the victim’s family decided to call Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. After the confrontation, McLean’s wife and children left him. He began liquidating financial assets and he signed divorce papers. In September 2004, McLean’s father-in-law woke up one morning to find McLean’s truck in his driveway. Inside the truck were McLean’s cell phone, letters for the family, and instructions on how to sell the vehicle. It was evident from his actions that he believed criminal charges against him were looming.

“Honoring the victims by arresting violent fugitives like McLean and making our streets safer is the main concern of the U.S. Marshals,” said Marshal Venables.

McLean is a 57-year-old white male who weighs 170 pounds and is 5 feet, 11 inches tall. He has brown/gray hair and hazel eyes. He is an auto mechanic by trade and once owned a race-car restoration business, specializing in racing cars from the 1960s and 1970s. McLean is also an experienced outdoorsman and may frequent camping areas. McLean’s character traits include: being financially frugal, meticulous, organized, and probably pays by cash. Investigators believe McLean may have assumed a new identity and could be using an alias name.

Authorities caution citizens to consider McLean armed and dangerous, and possibly suicidal.

There is a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of McLean, and all inquiries remain confidential. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact their nearest U.S. Marshals Service office, or call the Marshals’ 24-hour phone line at 1-800-336-0102.

U.S. Marshals are the nation’s primary fugitive hunting organization. Fugitive Task Forces lead by the U.S. Marshals capture thousands of fugitives each year. For more information on the U.S. Marshals and 15 Most Wanted Fugitive Frederick McLean, go to www.usmarshals.gov.
