And you thought you had a bad day, gives a whole new meaning to a headache.

And you thought you had a bad day, gives a whole new meaning to a headache.

Marco Romero really had a bad day and doctors thought Romero may not make it.

Romero was stabbed in the head with a 5 inch kitchen knife by his then roommate Alfredo Ramirez, 34.

Ramirez was charged with attempted murder.

Romero ended up with life threatening injuries and was told he may never walk or use his left arm again. Doctors were able to remove the knife from his head and today he has shown some signs of improvement.

Romero says he owes it all to his co-worker. Michael Castor took Romero in once he was released from the hospital since he had no where to go.

Castor said that since Romero is from Guatemala and has no family here he wanted to do his duty to help a human being and help.

Castor said he has been helping Romero with some rehab. He takes Romero to the pool to swim and gets him on the treadmill. Castor says now he has hit a wall and not sure what to do at this point since he has no medical background.

Castor is asking for help. He’s not asking for money. Castor just wants to get the help that Romero need. He wants help with rehab and someone that can help Romero work with his hand.

I wonder if Castor has seen Pay it Forward. He said he is motivated to help Romero because, in the past, someone helped him when he was down, and so he is now returning the favor.

This is an awesome story and it hits close to home. I as well have taken in a friend that was living in a house with no electricity. He could not keep food in his house or even have water part of the time as the landlord would turn off his water and power off since he refused to take place in drug activities with her. She continuously threatened to evict him and after speaking with her, I still to this day don’t know why.

This young man lost both of his parents when he was 16, both died of cancer and he witnessed that first hand. He made some bad choices in life after that.

We have had good and bad times but overall he has been an awesome roommate and has made some great stride to become an awesome person even though the odds were stacked against him.

He has no family in the area and had no one to turn to. So I can relate to Castor even though my roommate has no medical needs it still can be a financially stressful situation.

True Crime Cases would like to salute Michael Castor for going above and beyond to help a friend in need.

If anyone can help call Michael Castor at 941-592-4468
