AKA The Jakester

Hello one and all, thanks again for checking out True Crime Cases by The Jakester.

True Crime Cases was started to talk about different cases happening throughout the USA.

As you can see we have included several other topics as well and I would like to get some feedback from the people viewing my blog.

With the number of Missing People we talk about here on a regular basis, I was thinking about starting a new blog… Jakester’s Missing.

This blog would be solely dedicated to those that have a missing loved one and a place to keep all the missing persons blogs in one spot.

Of course we would fix the blog up with some resources to help with missing people and etc. and provide a place for those with a missing loved one a place to talk and get and or give help to others facing the same dilemma.

I would like to get your feedback before starting yet another blog and see if you think it would be something worth while or should I just leave them posted here on True Crime Cases?

What are your thoughts?

I also will probably start a new blog for Line of Duty Deaths for Public Safety. I have been working on it already with getting information lined up for the blog. This blog will post Police, Fire and EMS deaths. The blog will be a place to honor the men and women that made the ultimate sacrifice to provide the services we the people need and use every single day.

Also to Answer some Questions…

1) Do I use a format to find or report on different cases?

A) No. I, like many people read the internet news, watch news stations and check local papers for different stories to post about.

2) How do I select the cases I talk about?

A) Well this one is not too complicated. I pick stories that I find interesting or I think the people blogging would like to read about. From many comments and emails I get all the time, it’s not too hard to figure out what some of you like to read about.

B) Pictures. A lot of times I will not complete a post unless I can find pictures of those involved. I like being able to see who I am talking about when I make a post, unlike the mainstream media, they will post a story and never have a picture to go along with the story. I think in some cases a picture is worth a thousand words especially when it comes to the sex offenders. People have to know who to look out for and with no picture; they will never know who the offender is.

C) Yes, sometimes even though I find a case interesting I will not post about it until I can find a picture to go along with the case.

3) Can I check into cases that I don’t post about?

A) Yes. If you want to see if I can find out something about a case or make a post about a case, email me and I will work on getting a post together on the case. Just keep in mind that I am in Florida and most of the jails and courts here have on line reporting so it’s easy to find out about cases here. Some places and jurisdictions still have no information on line at all. So those can be more challenging to find out about, but it’s still not impossible.

B) So If you want the Jakester to take a look into a certain case that I have not posted on, email and send me as much information that you can so I make sure I dedicate the time to the case you want to know about and once I get enough information, I will make a post out of that case.

4) Some cases that get national attention you don’t post about, why?

A) Some of the cases I don’t find interesting at all. If there was nothing about the case to invoke my interest I usually don’t waste a lot of time following a case like that. Regardless of the national coverage the case has received.

B) Some cases, like the Anthony case in Orlando, FL. I have some strong thoughts and beliefs in this case and pretty much elected to wait until the trial until I make a post about that case. Even though I have written several post about that case, I just have not posted them as of yet. I may reconsider with some of the new information released about this case, but for the time being I think I’m going to wait until the trial.

5) Do you write all of your post or do you use a news feed source for your blog?

A) I write every post here. I use no feeds and I am not connected to any news source nor am I connected with any reporters.

B) When I first started, a lot of times I would copy and paste parts of my post but now I write them all based on the information from the courts, jail and what the media has reported.

Ok, I hope that answered most of the questions I had about my blog. I still love following True Crime Cases and will continue to follow cases I find interesting. I will also start posting on cases you would like to see here. Just let me know what you would like to see here.

Thanks

AKA The Jakester
