Even though I took a break for Christmas, Crime Did Not.

Even though I took a break for Christmas, Crime Did Not.

Sadly in every corner of every state I have read about crimes over the Christmas Holiday.

Here is a quick run down of a very few of the crimes I have read about. There were so many I almost just made a list of the City and the Crime but as you know, I like pictures and details..

So here a few of the Holiday Crimes that happened all over…

New York – X Police Officer took his own life

Michael Johnson turned his gun on himself rather than be taken into custody. Johnson was a former York, PA police officer. The x-officer was charged with rape in Maryland. Johnson identified himself as a police officer and then handcuffed the victim to the seat of a mini van and raped her. He was also charged with impersonating a police officer.

The FBI and New York State Police tracked Johnson to an apartment in Albany NY
The Lake County Sheriff's Office asked for the public's help to find a teenage boy missing since Monday.

Lake County --Teenager Missing Christmas

Nathaniel "Nate" Robles, 16, was last seen Dec. 22 leaving his home on Walnut Avenue, wearing a red jacket and black pants.

The teen said he was headed to the Leesburg Public Library.

If you have seen Nate Robles, contact the Lake County Sheriff's Office, at (352) 343-9500.

Santa Clause is coming to town and he is armed this year…

Santa AKA Bruce Jeffrey Pardo, 45, dressed as Santa and went to a Christmas Eve party at a house in Los Angeles. Pardo was at his brother’s house and 6 people were killed in this shooting. Shortly after the shootings the house was set on fire and Pardo, the only suspect was also found dead.

It was released that Pardo was having marital problems. Pardo’s ex-wife and the house owners are still missing.

Police said Pardo was in a Santa costume during the shooting and he used a homemade incendiary device to start the blaze after opening fire.

New York - You better watch out, you never know where that car will crash

An out of control New Yorker behind the wheel equaled 14 people injured when he slammed into a building where Orthodox Jewish families were celebrating Hanukkah.
The driver was 76 years old when he lost control of his car and slammed into a plate glass window.
Police reported there were 150 in the building for the celebration.

Fire Trucks to the Rescue – May not in this case.

Salt Lake – A man desperately wanted to get home for Christmas and with no transportation, he elected to steal a fire truck to get home for the holidays.

A 25 year old man has been arrested for trying to steal a fire truck. The truck was in service at the time and was on scene of a medical call when the firefighters hear the air horns blowing. They went to the truck and found the suspect trying to drive away. Apparently there was a lengthy struggle and the firefighters finally subdued the man.

He said he wanted to drive from Salt Lake to Washington to see his mother for Christmas.

Wonder what he planned on doing with the fire truck after he got there? Where could one hide a fire truck and not get caught?

Winter Haven -- Nothing like getting caught in the act

A 59 year old man was shot after he confronted two men attempting to break into a neighbors house.

Robert Johnson was walking his dog as he caught the criminals in the act, he elected to confront the two men instead of calling the police and one of the criminals shot him with a handgun.

St. Petersburg – The Golden Arches now filled with lead…

A 14 year old boy was shot in the hand at a McDonalds on 49th st. The teen and two of his friends walked to the nearby McDonalds and as they arrived to the front door of the Golden Arches, a car pulled up and opened fire.

It was reported none of the bullets made it into the restaurant even thought the criminal in the car fired several rounds. The victim was treated and released from the hospital.

Gulport -- You better watch out -- You better call the police if you have any infomattion about this crime...

Police are hoping the public can help them find three men after they say the men entered a Gulfport convenience store and one of the men shot two clerks in front of three children.

Monday night three men in hooded sweatshirts entered the Joy Foodsmart on 49th Street South.

Surveillance video shows one of the men pulling out a gun and shooting 43-year-old Thanh Hoang in the shoulder while his three sons ages 8, 10 and 11 watch. The men then robbed the children's uncle, 25-year-old Tien Tran, who was behind the counter.

After the men got the money, they shot Tran in the chest in front of the children.
Both victims were taken to Bayfront Medical Center. Doctors reported that their injuries were serious but not life threatening.

"I cannot understand who could even think to do it," said Lt. Rob Vincent with the Gulfport Police Department. "It's obvious those children are standing right there when they shoot these people."
