Merry Christmas
We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas
Enjoy your Holidays
We hope you and your family has the best Christmas ever…
We will be taking a break from posting until after the Holidays
Even though the crimes occurring right now are unbelievable, we want to celebrate the holidays without mention of crime.
I suffered a recent break in at my home and the police are working to bring those responsible to justice. Sadly they elected to steal a weapon. Funny thing is they took the weapon that was the least expensive and left my more costly weapons. As crimes happen, I learn I know less and less about criminals. The selection of weapons they had to choose from were my very first revolvers I used when I started in Law Enforcement.
So the sentimental value of the weapons could never be replaced. The weapon was a 38 cal. Stub nose revolver I carried as a back up weapon. My Smith and Wesson Stainless Steel Revolver, they never touched.
They also stole some cash and the funny thing about the cash they stole, was they did not even take all the money I had there. They only took part of the Christmas cash I had been saving. Criminals just make no sense to me.
It’s a funny feeling to know a stranger has been in my home and stole from me, it’s almost like I feel like everything in my house is dirty now. After the robbery I washed everything I could from bed linens to dishes to the curtains in my room. My personal life has been violated and I have never experienced anything like this until now. I now have a better understanding of how victims of crimes feel.
Working as a cop, sometimes I think I took a bad approach with some people and now after I was robbed, I feel like I need to apologize to them. Not that I done anything wrong with the investigation of the crime, I just had no compassion for the victims. I felt like they were over reacting to a minor crime. Well now I understand completely how they felt when I was dealing with them as a police officer.
With that said, I will move on to the important purpose of this post
We wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas!!!
I hope you and your loved ones enjoy a crime free holiday.

Sounds like they stole a handgun that is small and easily concealed - the kind that would be ideal to pack if you're pulling corner store holdups?
When I read about robberies like yours, I can't help but think that gun control that we have in Canada occasionally serves a purpose. There are far fewer handguns in the homes of private citizens available to be stolen and then used by bad guys.
Just a thought.
Very true,
But we have some laws but not enough to prevent these incidents from happening.
No doubt we need better laws, but sadly until someone gets them changed we all have to suffer.
The weapon stolen was small and very easy to conceal and it would be prefect to use in a quick corner store hold up.
I guess we live and learn. Even the gun safe provided very little protection from the thief.
I hope you have an awesome holiday and thanks for the email.
