FBI SEEKING ASSISTANCE WITH CHILD PORN SUBJECT
Tampa, FL—A former Lee County building maintenance worker who had access to secured county, state and federal facilities is wanted by law enforcement authorities.

The FBI Fort Myers office Innocent Images Task Force (IITF) is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Robert John Josephson, white male, age 44, of Cape Coral, Florida. Josephson was indicted by a federal grand jury on March 18, 2009, on two counts of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Josephson was employed as a Lee County maintenance worker until June, 2008, when the IITF executed a federal search warrant at his home for evidence of child pornography. Josephson was part of an ongoing investigation, Operation Spring Sweep, in which a multi-agency task force, comprised of the Lee County Sherriff's Office, Collier County Sheriff's Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Cape Coral Police Department, Fort Myers Police Department, State Attorney's Office, FBI, and the United States Attorney’s Office – Middle District of Florida executed simultaneous search warrants in Lee and Collier County targeting distributors of child pornography using peer-to-peer file sharing networks.

Anyone with information of Josephson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the FBI at 1-866-838-1153 (toll free).

An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed a violation of the federal criminal laws, and every defendant is presumed innocent until, and unless, proven guilty.
