The newest episode “Hostages” airs Tuesday, October 13 at 10pm. The show profiles three women who survived life-threatening hostage ordeals. Featured in the show is Jackie Pflug, a former Cairo based school-teacher. In 1985, her return flight from Athens was hijacked, plunging her into one of the deadliest hijackings in history. She managed to survive a shot in the head at point blank range and played dead until rescue units reached the grounded plane.

If you have not heard about this or watched the video, it’s really amazing that she survived such an ordeal. She was shot point blank range to the right side of the back of her head and managed to live.
In the email notification they said Jackie was also available for interviews so I have requested one, I’m not sure if there is a charge for the interview but it would be interesting to hear her story and to be able to post it for all to read, so hopefully we can work out something so I can post a follow up interview here.
I will keep you guys (and gals) posted on any updates about this case.
