Paramedic Arrested for DUI

Levic Allen, 43, was driving along State Route 60 when he came upon some stopped traffic and instead of him stopping along with the other traffic, he kept going.

Of course he collided with the rear end of a stopped pick-up and the pick-up ended up striking the vehicle in from of him. Luckily there were no injuries reported from the accident.

Allen was charged with DUI involving property damage.

His blood alcohol test came back over twice the legal limit of .08. For some reason there were 2 test results posted by the media one was .177 and the second was reported to be .181

Allen is a paramedic for Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

I've heard similar cases, too. I live in California, and I have a friend who is a criminal attorney in Los Angeles, who actually resides in Long Beach. Good thing this accident didn't involve bad injuries. The DUI cases I've heard from my friend, who has had a lot of DUI cases as one of the Long Beach attorneys, involved serious physical injuries, or even worse, death.
