Ok if the cage doesn’t whats the next step; set them on fire…

Ok if the cage doesn’t whats the next step; set them on fire…

While reading about the case of the father locking his kids in a cage, I ran across this story.

Two boys ages 4 and 7 were severely burned in a fire in their home in Glendale Heights.

Evidence shows the children were burned in a bathroom shower stall.

Evidence also shows the two boys were doused with gasoline.

Now what to do if your children are on fire? Hmmm.
I know it’s a tough one, but let’s think about this one.
Fire, people hurt, you call for help. Call the fire department and paramedics.

But what did Kaushik Patel, 34, do? He drove the boys to his brother’s home in Hanover Park. Once there the police and fire department responded.

No charges have been filed as of yet, but the father does remain a suspect in this case.

Patel was taken to Adventist Glen Oaks Hospital and the boys were taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.

Patel was taken to Adventist Glen Oaks Hospital in Glendale Heights, and the boys to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, the release said. The family has since been airlifted to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.

The fire is being investigated as arson, police said. The children's mother was not home at the time of the fire.

The fire is being probed by the DuPage County Major Crimes Task Fore, Glendale Heights police and DuPage County State's Attorney's office.
