Family Feud and no I’m not talking about the Game Show…lol
This Family Feud resulted in a gun shot wound, victim and stepdad ending up in the same jail.
What ever happened to the family time around the dinner table? I don't think family time took place in this household.
How does a victim end up in the same jail as his shooter? Good question. Here’s how it happened
Michael Bass, 21, called for help. Bass said he had been shot. Paramedics rush to the scene and find Bass standing there holding a bloody towel against his abdomen. Apparently he was shot with a small caliber handgun. Then the next thing they knew, Bass said his stepdad had shot him.
Police arrest Richard Hayes, 37 for the shooting. Off to jail he goes. At some point Hayes told the police he thought that Bass had wanted to fight with him and since he has some neck/back problems he elected to shot Bass.
Now you ask how Bass ended up in the same jail as his stepdad? During the course of the investigation, police ran a check on Bass and learned he had outstanding warrants for failure to appear.
So once he was treated and released from the hospital, police took him into custody and transported him to the same jail has his stepdad.
Hopefully this jail has the ability to hold them in separate areas and they have no further conflicts.
Now this brings up a tough dilemma for mom.
Who does she support in an incident like this?
Does she continue to support her son? Or the man she loves and married?
Who would you support in a situation like this?
I think this would be a tough call. Now for me I think it would be family first. But of course we don’t know all of the circumstances surrounding this shooting. But I don’t think I could turn my back on family.
Should be interesting to learn more about this case, I hope we learned a lot more about the family situation.
