Teen to be charged as an adult in a murder case.

In Manatee County, Byron Galloway, 16, was arrested and accused of killing Dejuan Williams.











Galloway has been charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault.












Dejaun Williams was 18 at the time of his death. Williams was a high school track star and was shot and killed in order to protect his sister.

Now not only has Galloway took a life, he has possible lost the rest of his life over senseless violence.

Not that I disagree with him being in prison for the rest of his life but its sad to see yet another teenager with no life ahead of him now. Of course maybe life would be better for him on the inside of a prison v/s the streets. Who knows…? I don’t, but for the life of me I can never understand why anyone would want to take part in a crime that could cost them the rest of their life.

Not only did his action cost him the rest of his life but he also took the life of another teenager that according to family and friends had a very promising future.

In case you did not see the case in the news here’s a rundown of what has been reported so far.

Williams was shot and killed in his own backyard on York Drive West. His girlfriend was there at the time of his death.

Williams had returned home around 2200 hrs and learned there had been some guys there at his house and his 13 year old sister was home. Williams was concerned since his parents were at work.

Williams then checked the house and found a back window broken and saw someone in the back yard hiding behind a shed.

Williams confronted the suspect with a baseball bat and the suspect shot him.

Police and friends tried to revive Williams. But the gunshot wounds proved to be fatal.

Family and friends are having a tough time dealing with this loss. Williams recently graduated from Bayshore High School was ready to attend West Virginia State on a track scholarship.

In Manatee County the death of Williams marked the 24th homicide of the year and the second death in a two day period.
