The police reported that just before 2am the residents heard a commotion outside and once the suspects entered the house, that’s when the resident opened his bedroom door and one of the teens pointed a handgun at him and that’s when the resident opened fire with his Glock 40 caliber handgun. The resident fired several shots, killing 2 teens and wounding 1 and the 4th teen escaped without injury.

Frank Castro was the 4th teen that was able to escape without injury. HE wasn’t free for long. He was arrested shortly after the incident.

According to the police the 2 teens killed had pellets guns and the 3rd was carrying a handgun.

The teens may or may not have known the resident was a gun collector.

Police are still working why the teens were entering this house in the middle of the night. One resident that wasn’t home at the time said he thought the 4 teens had been there before. They have an open door policy for everyone, to hang out at the house. But this fatal night, they decided to take gun to the house with them.

Castro was charged with aggravated robbery, which is a first degree felony. His bond has been set at $50,000.

Teen to be charged as an adult in a murder case.

In Manatee County, Byron Galloway, 16, was arrested and accused of killing Dejuan Williams.

Galloway has been charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault.

Dejaun Williams was 18 at the time of his death. Williams was a high school track star and was shot and killed in order to protect his sister.

Now not only has Galloway took a life, he has possible lost the rest of his life over senseless violence.

Not that I disagree with him being in prison for the rest of his life but its sad to see yet another teenager with no life ahead of him now. Of course maybe life would be better for him on the inside of a prison v/s the streets. Who knows…? I don’t, but for the life of me I can never understand why anyone would want to take part in a crime that could cost them the rest of their life.

Not only did his action cost him the rest of his life but he also took the life of another teenager that according to family and friends had a very promising future.

In case you did not see the case in the news here’s a rundown of what has been reported so far.

Williams was shot and killed in his own backyard on York Drive West. His girlfriend was there at the time of his death.

Williams had returned home around 2200 hrs and learned there had been some guys there at his house and his 13 year old sister was home. Williams was concerned since his parents were at work.

Williams then checked the house and found a back window broken and saw someone in the back yard hiding behind a shed.

Williams confronted the suspect with a baseball bat and the suspect shot him.

Police and friends tried to revive Williams. But the gunshot wounds proved to be fatal.

Family and friends are having a tough time dealing with this loss. Williams recently graduated from Bayshore High School was ready to attend West Virginia State on a track scholarship.

In Manatee County the death of Williams marked the 24th homicide of the year and the second death in a two day period.

A teenager is dead, body found in a dumpster fire.

St. Petersburg Fire Department responded to a fire in a trash bin.

As a fireman you learn to hate dumpster fire because you never know what you will find in them. People dump chemicals, batteries, household cleaners, commercial cleaners; you just never know what you will find in a dumpster fire.

Once St. Pete FD arrived on scene, they made a gruesome discovery.

The found the charred body of Michael Anthony Tillman, 19.

Police believe that Tillman was shot to death and then set on fire. The police have also stated they believe the death might be drug related.

Tillman has a history of arrest for cocaine and marijuana.

Regardless of the reason for the death, it’s yet another senseless killing of a teenager.

Another teenager lost to drugs and violence.

The incident took place in the Campbell Park neighborhood.

Anyone with information about Tillman's murder is asked to call the St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7164 or Crimestoppers at 800-873-8477. Callers to Crimestoppers can remain anonymous.

17 year old killed. Cops still looking for the suspect(s).

17 year old killed. Cops still looking for the suspect(s).

At approximately 0100 hrs Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office responded to a middle class neighborhood after they had reports of shots fired.

Tyler Blaine Kennett was found shot, for unknown reasons. Kennett was transported to Delray Beach Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

According to reports the shooter fired several shots into the house. Reports have not indicated how many times Kennett was hit. Kennett was spending the night with a friend and they believe he was targeted. Investigators believe the suspect went up to the window, took aim and fired.

According to reports Kennett was sitting beside a friend when the shots where fired and he said “I think I got shot”, he slumped over and someone immediately called 911.

Apparently the investigators got some tips through the county’s Crime Stoppers line. The investigators are not releasing any information on what they found at the house were Kennett was shot.

Word of Kennett's death traveled quickly on the Internet, particularly on a local motor sports page, where some posts indicated he had recently taken up racing.

Andrew Hopkins, 20, said he knew Kennett since the two were young. Shaking his head, Hopkins described his friend as energetic and fun-loving, a daredevil who executed hair-raising stunts at Ramp 48, a skateboard hangout in Broward County.

"He was a happy kid, so much energy, he was always on a dirt bike or a BMX or a skateboard," Hopkins said.

Kennett had had some trouble in school, but he was improving at Life Skills Center of Palm Beach County, an alternative charter school in Delray Beach, where he was able to apply his mechanical aptitude to studying marine mechanics, Hopkins said.
"He was very intelligent," Hopkins said, "but he had trouble with jumping through hoops."

Hopkins and others heard about the shooting in the middle of the night. Teenagers gathered in groups on driveways and lawns across from the crime scene, looking on in disbelief. Some wept and embraced as investigators' cameras flashed in the night.
"They were pumping his chest on the way out," said Hopkins, who, along with another friend, 19-year-old Hugo Bretas, walked across Kimberly Boulevard to the house where Kennett was shot. Kennett's friend's mother was home, sleeping in another bedroom, during the attack.

"It still hasn't sunk in," said Hopkins, who said Kennett's brother Cory asked him to keep an eye on Kennett while the brother was in Colorado.
Kennett's friends planned a memorial for him this morning at a small neighborhood park on the north side of Kimberly Boulevard, just east of State Road 7.
