Mother arrested for attempted murder, child abuse and child neglect…

Mother arrested for attempted murder, child abuse and child neglect…

Of course this is in Florida as well.

Christina McIntyre, 23, is in jail with no bond allowed.

Christina McIntyre thought life would be easier if she only had one child instead of 2.

So how did McIntyre end up in jail?

McIntyre allowed her 2 year old to suffocate her 11 month old.

McIntyre, as it was reported to the media, said that she watched as the infant struggled and fought for air but she elected to do nothing.

The 2 year old covered the 11 month old infant with several blankets and a beanbag chair and then leaned up against the beanbag chair so the infant could not breathe.

It’s still unclear if McIntyre instructed the 2 year old to suffocate the infant but one thing that police are claiming McIntyre was aware of was the infant stopped breathing.

Now that she had a non breathing infant, what did McIntyre do? Of course as we know any sensible person would have called 911, but since we already know McIntyre hasn’t shown any common sense so far, why would she call 911 immediately?

McIntyre elected to send her boyfriend a text message. Could you imagine what that text message said…

Just my thoughts, I have not read the actual text message but I could see it saying something like Hey babe, just wanted to let you know the baby has stopped breathing and I done nothing to keep him alive. Now I can go back to work babe…

Maybe the text message part was a little out of order in my post and the reason I say that is during the investigation, it was learned that McIntyre said she could not afford day care for both children and without the 11 month old she could go back to work, so now my made up text message should make a little more sense.

Now even though she sat there and watched the 2 year old try to murder the 11 month old, McIntyre still took the time to wait at least a minute after the infant stopped fighting and struggling for air before she elected to do anything.

Then instead of calling 911 it was reported that she decided to spank the 2 year old for trying to murder the infant.

Then McIntyre finally called 911. The infant was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital.

Of course once she arrived at the hospital and reported the baby just stopped breathing, apparently McIntyre could not remember what happened and gave the doctors conflicting stories as to what actually happened to the 11 month old.

McIntyre demanded more and more test to prove the infant had apnea and yet ever test the hospital done proved the infant had no medical problems at all. Then of course the hospital had to report the incident to the police and the Department of Children and Families.

Even though there were no documented medical problems, the infant had been hospitalized and had four doctor appointments since September 21.

At least in this case the DCF stepped in and took both children from the home. Thank God they were able to save the infant.

There has been no update of the infants’ condition that I’m aware of but if there is something posted, I will post it here to keep everyone updated on the status of this case and the well being of the infant.

For the life of me I cannot ever understand the need to abuse or kill a child and for what so mom in this case could go back to work? Must have been a pretty important job if McIntyre considered killing an 11 month old infant to go back to work, now I have to wonder what job she had… Was it a minimum wage job? If so surely that job would not be work the life of an 11 month old child.

Even though it was reported in the media that McIntyre muttered “I love them” as she was being taken away in the police car, I hope she rots in a jail or prison. I could only wish that the courts would allow some other inmate to suffocate her to death as she sits and rots in jail.

If this was her way of showing she loves her children, I would hate to have read what happened if she hated them.

Thank God this story had somewhat of a happy ending and hopefully the children will be placed in a home where they can be shown the love and receive the care they need and deserve.
