1 drink too many lands dad in jail and not for being drunk..

Well maybe for being a little drunk but Charles Maynard was arrested for child neglect.

That’s right child neglect while drunk… LOL….

Well lets just say that according to the police they found a child wondering around about 2 blocks away from his house.

The police took the child home and tried to wake up Maynard and apparently the police reported they had a hard time waking the man up.

Maynard admitted that he had 3 shots of liquor and fell asleep. Then the child decided to hit the streets and wondered off.

There was nothing released about the age of the child or where the child is now.

Maybe next time he should share his shots with the child, so the child goes to sleep and not to the streets.. JUST JOKING PEOPLE CLAIM DOWN..

You know I would never support giving a child liquor.

Anyway, hopefully he will learn not to drink and baby sit.

Apparently Maynard was booked into the Pinellas County Jail and has been released.

Mother arrested for attempted murder, child abuse and child neglect…

Mother arrested for attempted murder, child abuse and child neglect…

Of course this is in Florida as well.

Christina McIntyre, 23, is in jail with no bond allowed.

Christina McIntyre thought life would be easier if she only had one child instead of 2.

So how did McIntyre end up in jail?

McIntyre allowed her 2 year old to suffocate her 11 month old.

McIntyre, as it was reported to the media, said that she watched as the infant struggled and fought for air but she elected to do nothing.

The 2 year old covered the 11 month old infant with several blankets and a beanbag chair and then leaned up against the beanbag chair so the infant could not breathe.

It’s still unclear if McIntyre instructed the 2 year old to suffocate the infant but one thing that police are claiming McIntyre was aware of was the infant stopped breathing.

Now that she had a non breathing infant, what did McIntyre do? Of course as we know any sensible person would have called 911, but since we already know McIntyre hasn’t shown any common sense so far, why would she call 911 immediately?

McIntyre elected to send her boyfriend a text message. Could you imagine what that text message said…

Just my thoughts, I have not read the actual text message but I could see it saying something like Hey babe, just wanted to let you know the baby has stopped breathing and I done nothing to keep him alive. Now I can go back to work babe…

Maybe the text message part was a little out of order in my post and the reason I say that is during the investigation, it was learned that McIntyre said she could not afford day care for both children and without the 11 month old she could go back to work, so now my made up text message should make a little more sense.

Now even though she sat there and watched the 2 year old try to murder the 11 month old, McIntyre still took the time to wait at least a minute after the infant stopped fighting and struggling for air before she elected to do anything.

Then instead of calling 911 it was reported that she decided to spank the 2 year old for trying to murder the infant.

Then McIntyre finally called 911. The infant was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital.

Of course once she arrived at the hospital and reported the baby just stopped breathing, apparently McIntyre could not remember what happened and gave the doctors conflicting stories as to what actually happened to the 11 month old.

McIntyre demanded more and more test to prove the infant had apnea and yet ever test the hospital done proved the infant had no medical problems at all. Then of course the hospital had to report the incident to the police and the Department of Children and Families.

Even though there were no documented medical problems, the infant had been hospitalized and had four doctor appointments since September 21.

At least in this case the DCF stepped in and took both children from the home. Thank God they were able to save the infant.

There has been no update of the infants’ condition that I’m aware of but if there is something posted, I will post it here to keep everyone updated on the status of this case and the well being of the infant.

For the life of me I cannot ever understand the need to abuse or kill a child and for what so mom in this case could go back to work? Must have been a pretty important job if McIntyre considered killing an 11 month old infant to go back to work, now I have to wonder what job she had… Was it a minimum wage job? If so surely that job would not be work the life of an 11 month old child.

Even though it was reported in the media that McIntyre muttered “I love them” as she was being taken away in the police car, I hope she rots in a jail or prison. I could only wish that the courts would allow some other inmate to suffocate her to death as she sits and rots in jail.

If this was her way of showing she loves her children, I would hate to have read what happened if she hated them.

Thank God this story had somewhat of a happy ending and hopefully the children will be placed in a home where they can be shown the love and receive the care they need and deserve.

Jonathan Alicea arrested for murder, the murder of a 2 year old.

Jonathan Alicea, 19, has been arrested and accused of the death of his girlfriend’s 2 year old son.

This scum bag admitted to "pushing" the boy because the 2 year old had been sick and refused to eat. When Alicea cooked dinner (which was hotdogs and scrambled eggs) the 2 year old refused to eat. The child had been sick and didn’t want to eat. At some point the child stood up and wet his pants. As the child started to walk towards the bathroom and then he refused to change and Alicea stated that he pushed the boy and he immediately went unresponsive.

With the injuries on the child I would dare say Alicea turned the 2 year old into a punching bag and beat the child unresponsive.

Yet Alicea claims he only pushed the boy and that push caused the child to immediately become unresponsive.

So instead of calling 911 for the unresponsive 2 year old, Alicea said at some point the child was placed into an empty dresser drawer where he done CPR on the child and when that did not work he splashed cold water in the 2 years olds face.

Of course if cold water doesn’t work, what should you do next? Call 911 maybe, but what did Alicea decide to do?

This part could be disturbing to some so read with caution.

Alicea decided hot water would bring the boy back. So Alicea put a pot of water on the stove and when it came to a boil, he threw it in the boys face.

The child still laid there unresponsive. Once again instead of calling for help, he allowed the child to lay there for 30 more minutes.

Then the mother/girlfriend arrived home from work and Alicea took the child to the car wrapped only in a towel and said the boy was choking and they rushed him to the emergency room.

I don’t think the mother realized what has happened until after they arrived at the emergency room.

Throughout the entire ordeal it has been reported that Alicea showed no remorse what so ever in the beating, burning death of a 2 year old child.

How in Gods name could anyone beat a 2 year old to death and do nothing but throw boiling hot water in the child’s face to revive him? Then still wait for 30 minutes as the child lays there taking his final breaths and Alicea does nothing but wraps him in a towel and wait for mom to come home from work.

Even though the boy had a severe head injury, Alicea only reported “pushing” the boys head. I could see a push causing the injuries if he repeatedly pushed him into a wall or metal door, but a simple push would not cause any injury as to the extent of this child’s injuries.

Of course the Florida Department of Children and Families stepped in and basically done nothing. Initially they stepped in and removed the 6 year old child from the home, seems while they were in such a rush to get the 2 year old to the emergency room, they left the 6 year old home alone. When police found her she was sitting at home watching TV all alone. Yet since DCF said the mother wasn’t charged with anything DCF elected to return the 6 year old to the mother.

Alicea has been charged with first degree murder and is being held without bond in Osceola County Jail.

How to discipline your child, at least in Oregon….

Well you may not want to follow in Todd Marcum’s footsteps and discipline your child in the same manor he disciplined his children.

Todd Marcum,41, was convicted in court and sentenced to 3 years of supervised probation.

Of course I find that sentence to be lacking but at least he was convicted of something.

Anyway, how did Todd Marcum decide to punish his children?

Well he decided to try something a little different than most parents.

He elected to use a shock collar for dogs.

His children ranged from 3 years old to 9 years old.

Now the sad part of the sentence is the fact that Todd Marcum thought this would be funny. With an attitude towards child abuse like that, I cannot see a judge giving him supervised probation.

Maybe it was a plea deal since he did plea guilty to 4 counts of criminal mistreatment.

The judge did order that he is barred from using corporal punishment and barred from physical play with children.

It has been reported in the media that Marcum has started counseling and Mr. Marcum himself said nothing like this will ever happen again.

I hope for Mr. Marcum nothing like this does happen again.

I cannot get over the fact that he thought this was funny. I guess we should be happy that the children are with there mother and didn’t suffer any physical injuries. I could only imagine the mental damage that was caused by Mr. Marcum’s actions.

Hopefully the Department of Human Services and his parole officer can keep some tight tabs on Todd Marcum to ensure this will not happen again.

Cases like this make me think more and more people need to get a license to have children. People need to pass a psychological exam and be taught the basics of having children. Its sad working in the line of work I work in and dealing with children and the parents don’t have the first clue of anything regarding their own child.

We have to have a license to drive a car, to go fishing or hunting. We have to have permits to even build anything on our own property yet anyone can have all the children they want with no education requirement before giving birth to a child.

I got to tell you, its scary working in the medical field dealing with these people, I feel bad for the children. They are the ones suffering. What I find even more disgusting is the fact that some parents want more children for more welfare money. More kids = More Money. (That we the working taxpayers get to give them.)

Granted I know all the license fees are all about making money for nothing. I mean really, what does it cost the state to let you go fishing for the day, nothing… Yet they want to charge you to do that. Then if you get caught without that license it will cost you a lot more in the long run. So to me it’s like a legal scam the states run to make money for nothing. But back to the child permit…..

People claim they don’t have money for education before having a child and they don’t want to pay to have a child. If they have no money for a class on how to raise a child how do they expect to raise a child with no money? Why would they even consider having a child?

I know a lot of places offer free classes and education for the child baring females but at some point I think it must become a mandatory requirement to have a child. In this class people can be taught that a shock collar would never be an appropriate joke to play on a child. Bringing harm to a child should never be a joke.

I hope that Mr. Marcum can stand true to his word and this will never happen again but if he should have some relapse and abuse another child I can only hope the courts will show no mercy for him the 2nd time around. Because honestly if had been up to me, he would not been shown any mercy in this conviction.

Dad charged with manslaughter in the drowning of his 1 year old son.

In Pasco County a father is in jail for manslaughter.

Bernard Michalsk, 22, was at home with his 2 and 1 year old son when his girlfriend came over.

Michalski elected to leave his 1 year old unattended in a bath tub while he tried to have sex with his girlfriend.

As his 1 year old was unattended, he drowned in the tub. The drowning took place in March and Pasco just now decided to charge him. He was arrested on 08/26/2009 at 0900hrs.

Michalski was charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child and child neglect.

Of course hearing about this case and a child neglect charge it still makes me wonder why Misty Croslin Cummings has not been charged with a crime.

Anyway, according to the sheriff’s site he is still in jail.

30 years for Aggravated Child Abuse and Neglect of a Child.

Darlanne Toussaint, 24, will spend the next 30 years in prison for child abuse and child neglect.

Then once he completes his 30 years, he will then be placed on house arrest for two years.

Toussaint was mad at the biological father, so what does any smart criminal do, take it out on his kid. The child was 2 years old.

It was reported that Toussaint used a hair dryer and hot oil to burn his girlfriend’s baby.

The child suffered severe burns to his genitals, chest, head and back. Now what should any reasonable person do after burning your girlfriends baby?

Yeah, Yeah, I know rush to the hospital to get the child treated.

But what did this stupid criminal do? He waited; I guess he wanted the biological dad to suffer more so he let the baby suffer more.

I guess this stupid criminal proved to the dad who the real man was. What a shame. A kid 24 years old now gets to spend the best part of his life in prison.

Now Toussaint reportedly told jurors that the boy was burned while he was given a bath.

Then my question would be if this happened during a bath, why wasn’t the baby burned all over?

It was only reported that the genitals, chest, head and back where burned, this does not sound like a typical accidental burning from a bath.

Now of course there are exceptions to every rule, maybe he was holding the baby upside down and underwater. Then the burns would actually match getting burned from a bath. Who knows, stupid criminals have been known to do some pretty stupid things before.

Maybe in his 30 years in prison it will give him enough time to realize the errors of his ways and next time he is mad at a baby’s dad he should take that anger out in an anger management class and not on a baby.

It makes one wonder what a child abuser was thinking at the time the incident occurred.

Did he think in some way it would prove him to be a better man than the biological father?

Did he think in some way if the baby felt pain, the biological father would suffer the same pain?

** Granted I know nothing of the biological father, but I would like to think he did suffer mentally because his son was abused with a hair dryer and hot oil, but the biological father actually suffered no pain from this senseless child abuse.

I’m just glad to see the courts gave him a severe sentence for child abuse/neglect.

Baby Abandoned, Be on the lookout

Baby Abandoned. Be on the lookout…

Police are still searching for clues after they found a baby abandoned near the woods in April.

Police are trying to track down the mother of a newborn baby abandoned. Police say although they've had several leads, none of them have led them to the baby's mother.

On April 25th, a Caucasian boy (hours old) was found in the bushes across the street from Harold Deans' pub.

According to reports Palmetto Police has reviewed surveillance videos from nearby businesses, checked local hospitals and even schools for signs of woman who may have been pregnant.

Police reported they have had several leads and taken DNA samples from a few people but they have had no matches so far.

Police are asking for someone in the community to come forward. The baby who is almost three months old now is doing well in a foster care home.

Police also said they believes the baby's mother is Caucasian or possibly Hispanic. He said if they find her she could face criminal charges.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Palmetto Police Department at 941-723-4587.

Ok if the cage doesn’t whats the next step; set them on fire…

Ok if the cage doesn’t whats the next step; set them on fire…

While reading about the case of the father locking his kids in a cage, I ran across this story.

Two boys ages 4 and 7 were severely burned in a fire in their home in Glendale Heights.

Evidence shows the children were burned in a bathroom shower stall.

Evidence also shows the two boys were doused with gasoline.

Now what to do if your children are on fire? Hmmm.
I know it’s a tough one, but let’s think about this one.
Fire, people hurt, you call for help. Call the fire department and paramedics.

But what did Kaushik Patel, 34, do? He drove the boys to his brother’s home in Hanover Park. Once there the police and fire department responded.

No charges have been filed as of yet, but the father does remain a suspect in this case.

Patel was taken to Adventist Glen Oaks Hospital and the boys were taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.

Patel was taken to Adventist Glen Oaks Hospital in Glendale Heights, and the boys to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, the release said. The family has since been airlifted to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.

The fire is being investigated as arson, police said. The children's mother was not home at the time of the fire.

The fire is being probed by the DuPage County Major Crimes Task Fore, Glendale Heights police and DuPage County State's Attorney's office.

Home Made Pad Locked Cage, for kids

Home Made Pad Locked Cage, for kids

Ricardo Gonzalez was charged with misdemeanor child endangerment charges for keeping his two daughters locked in a cage in his pick up truck.

Posen Deputy Chief Vickie Paggi explains the conditions inside a Chevrolet truck where two girls were found in a cage on Monday. Their father, Ricardo Gonzalez, was charged with misdemeanor child endangerment.

Gonzalez, 35, drove his Chevy S-10 pickup truck into a gas station when a bystander heard a child crying. She looked inside the truck and noticed Gonzalez pushing a juvenile’s hands back into the cage.

The bystander did not think this was right and notified police.

Police arrived and took Gonzalez into custody.

He did admit to keeping his daughters, ages 3 and 6, in the cage. Gonzalez also told police he used the cage to control his children so they would not run away.

According to reports it’s unknown at this time if the charges will be upgraded to a felony.
DCFS did take custody of the children.

Gonzalez is scheduled to appear in the Markham Courthouse July 31.

Man arrested after beating a toddler

Man arrested after beating a toddler.

Travis Keen, 23, was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse and now currently being held in jail without bail after he admitting he hit his girlfriends 18 month old daughter. He was arrested on Wednesday.

TRAVIS KEEN is escorted by Lakeland police Detective Michele Newsome and Officer Ace Williams on Wednesday. Keen, 23, is charged with aggravated child abuse involving his girlfriend's 18-month-old daughter.

Keen apparently used his fist and possibly a women’s shoe to beat the toddler since she would not stop crying and throwing toys out of her crib.
It was one of the worst child abuse beatings in recent years, said Lakeland Police Department's Crimes against Children unit.

Apparently the photographs taken of the girl show a handprint shape bruise on the girls face along with multiple bruises on her arms, legs, back, stomach and the top of her head. The photo’s also showed numerous scratches on her body.

According to reports the girls has made a full recovery after being treated at a Lakeland hospital.

More to the Story

Keen, after drinking nearly a dozen beers at a friend's birthday party June 8, went into his girlfriend's bedroom in the apartment they shared to use the bathroom, reports said.

His girlfriend, also the child's mother had left about 11:30 p.m. with a friend to pick up her mother in Kissimmee. The child was in her crib.

Keen, who is the father of a 3-year-old son with another woman, told detectives that after he saw the baby had thrown her toys out of her crib, he spanked her four times on the buttocks and once on the face when she moved, Newsome wrote in her report.
And when she wouldn't stop crying, he yelled for her to "Shut the ----- up," then laid her on her back and left the room, the report said.

When Koerner returned home about 1:30 a.m. on June 9, she saw blood on the pillow next to the crib. When she asked Keen what had happened, he broke down crying and started talking about his deceased sister, reports said.

Koerner took her daughter to the emergency room at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where doctors notified police and the Florida Department of Children and Families of possible abuse.

Keen urged Koerner to tell officials that she had not left the home that night, reports said. But she didn't listen to him and cooperated with detectives, officials said.

In interviews, Keen first denied the incident, but later told Newsome he had hit the child, she said.

Connie Flemming, an advanced registered nurse practitioner for children at the center, examined the girl with the finding that, "This is egregious child abuse. Physical injuries are in patterns representing child being beaten with fist, open hand and probably other instrument(s) as well."

Because Keen is not the child's biological father, DCF can take no action against him, Newsome said.

However, Koerner has followed the recommendations of DCF officials and obtained an injunction against Keen. She also has moved out of the apartment, Newsome said.
