Haleigh Cummings still missing and now Misty Croslin Cummings; disappeared.

Wait a minute, she was gone but now her attorney said she was taking a well deserved break.

Of course the first thing that comes to my mind is WTF?????? What does she need a break from? Maybe the lies that have been uncovered throughout the search for the truth of what really happened to Haleigh Cummings.

Even thought Misty was reported as missing, her attorney stepped up to the mike and told everyone that Misty was in Orlando at Universal Studios for a fun filled weekend or I think he said a well deserved break.

How appropriate… Got to love attorneys…. (well maybe not so much…)

I cannot understand why she would even need a break, I mean after all she said everyone else is lying and the weekend of the lie detector was a lie. So I guess with hiding the truth could be tiring and a fun filled weekend in Universal Studios would be called for. I guess that would be a way to escape from reality.

But none the less, this case has been taking more twist and turns than any other case. I’m just surprised there hasn’t been some unknown, untraceable responsible person appears in this case. But anyway….

Misty in her attempt to flea still states she knows nothing about the whereabouts of Haleigh Cummings, but as the continued search for Haleigh continues so does the drama in this case. Misty was interviewed and on TV as she was flying out of Florida and said now Ron wants a divorce. She doesn’t want the divorce but since that’s what he wants, she said she isn’t going to fight the divorce.

It seems as I have said from the beginning of this case that Misty’s stories are now falling apart. Misty has taken the lie detector test and failed; she took a voice analysis test and has been hypnotized. All in an effort to prove Misty was being truthful about the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings, but it seems it has only proven she has lied and withheld information.

Yet we still have Misty claiming we don’t know the truth and she is waiting for her attorney to give her the go ahead to release the truth about what happened.

Now I wonder why an attorney would make her withhold information in this case.

Then while Misty was having her fun filled weekend, grrrr, I mean well deserved break, we now have a report of a mysterious letter that appeared. The letter was from Misty’s friend that is in jail on drug charges.

So right off the bat we have to question how much belief we can put into a letter like that.

But none the less the letter appeared and within that letter it made some damaging claims against Misty Croslin Cummings.

The letter claims Misty wasn’t at home the night Haleigh disappeared. Even thought Misty claims she was.

The letter also claims Misty was at a party and it was reported that Haleigh Cummings took an overdose of Oxycontin.

I thought it was also funny that the police claiming they are following up on every lead but they stated they have dismissed the jailhouse letter. Yet they drain a lake because it was said that Haleigh died from the drug overdose, was stuffed into a black bag and tossed into a lake. Even though that claim was dismissed, the divers found nothing after draining a lake. (seems like a lot of expense to drain a lake for divers if they really dismissed the letter right of the bat)

But none the less that letter claims that someone swore in an affidavit that Haleigh was with Misty at a party the night Haleigh disappeared and that party wasn’t at Ron Cummings house.

The details called names and even named new players into the Haleigh Cummings case.

The letter said that 29 year old guy (Greg Page, I think) was at that party and when Haleigh died from the overdose of Oxycontin, Misty freaked out and Greg was there to lend a helping hand. It was reported in the letter that Greg put the body in the black bag and then threw the body into a pond.

Of course that would be bad enough on its own, but we now have also learned that Misty was having a fling with Greg and they were flinging the weekend before Haleigh disappeared. Is it just me or is there something happening over there? All these people flinging with a minor child and no one has been arrested for sex crimes with a minor.
Anyway back to the story…

With the arrest of Misty’s brother it was learned that he is now saying Misty wasn’t even home the night Haleigh disappeared.

I can only guess Misty or her attorney will soon be in the media to let us all know that the brother is now lying about his sister.

But the brother is now reporting that Ron and Misty had a fight the night Haleigh disappeared and after Ron had tried to call Misty about 20 times in a 2 hour period, Ron done the next sensible thing and sent the brother to check on the well being of Misty.


It was reported that the bother got a call from Ron Cummings and Ron had asked him to go to the trailer to have Misty call him at work. I guess with the fight Ron wanted to call Misty and make up and had called her at least 20 times in a 2 hour time period and there was no answer.

Misty’s brother Tommy Croslin reported that when he arrived at the trailer it was dark like no one was home and he continuously pounded on the trailer door and there was no answer.

So was she home? She wasn’t according to her own brother.

Then during the investigation it was now reported that Page (Misty’s weekend fling) has been questioned several times

It has also been reported that Page has been arrested for drug possession in Palatka.
But even with his drug arrest, the first questions he was asked was all about Haleigh.
Even though the police dismissed the jailhouse letter they are still following up with the information contained in the dismissed jailhouse letter.

Page is reporting he does not know what happened to Haleigh, Page states he never met the child and wished he had never met Misty Croslin-Cummings.

Funny thing is that even though Page is reporting that his life has been in turmoil ever since meeting Misty, all Misty could do is to get away for that well deserved break and a fun filled weekend at Universal Studios. Something just doesn’t seem appropriate.

A man that claims he never even as much as met Haleigh Cummings is now claiming his life is in turmoil and yet the key player Misty is out riding roller coasters to get away from it all so she can have a “well deserved weekend”.

I wonder why Misty thinks now we should believe anything she has to say at this point.
I mean from the start of this case she couldn’t keep her story straight, she reported different facts to different people differently.

She planned on calling everyone to town and taking more lie detectors to prove she was honest and yet everything to date has proven she has lied or is withholding information.

Now she wants us to believe that we don’t know the truth and we have to wait for her attorney to give the ok to let everyone know what really happened to Haleigh Cummings.

From the start of this case I have had an anonymous poster claiming that Misty was being so truthful, I just wonder what that person would say now with her failing a lie detector test with a 99% deception.

So many twist and turns in this case, when will it ever end?

Now if everything else so far hasn’t been bad enough, at least Misty got to spend a few minutes in handcuffs (and no it wasn’t with the weekend flinger)

Misty was detained by the police during a road rage incident. Of course Misty was in the news as she was trying to fly out of town again stating that there was nothing to the road rage incident and that’s why she was released.

Maybe she actually told the truth this time or was it the victim of her road rage did not want to press charges?

None the less Misty got to spend some time in handcuffs. It’s a shame it wasn’t for a lot longer though. I still cannot understand why she hasn’t been charged with child endangerment to at the very least get her in jail where she belongs.

I mean after all she was suppose to be the responsible person caring for Haleigh, now that Haleigh has been missing this long why is Misty still allowed to roam around and even fly out of town while this active case continues.

None the less the investigators are probably growing tired of this case along with everyone else involved.

But as this case takes more twists and turns we have to reconsider a lot of information.

Like was it really just a fight between Ron and Misty the night Haleigh disappeared? Would you call your lover/wife 20 times in 2 hours if you had been mad and fighting?
Or is there something more to that part of this case like Ron knew what was going to happen and had second thoughts and tried to stop Misty before putting her plan into action.

Of course with Ron now wanting a divorce from Misty that also brings new light to the story. Has Ron actually learned that Misty is responsible for Haleigh’s disappearance?

What’s with the weekend flings? Young girl older guys, is there more to that than meets the eye? And why would the mother of a 29 year old man introduce him to a minor?

As guess as Misty continues to play games and taking advice from an attorney that’s telling her to purposely withhold information this case will continue to take more twist and all I can figure out is the attorney is trying his best to get other people involved in this case before Misty gets arrested. If he can add other key players in this case it will hopefully take the heat off of Misty and point the guilt towards someone else.

None the less regardless of what they are doing I just hope and pray for the sake of Haleigh she is soon found and her family can take the steps necessary to recover from such a horrible incident.

Haleigh Cummings still missing; another lie detector test shows someone is lying.

If you remember back during the start of this case Misty Croslin and Ronald Cummings took a lie detector test and they both proclaimed to the media that they passed the test and told the truth.









The couple was all over the media, on different TV shows to proclaim their innocents and now that the couple called for none other than Texas EquuSearch to return to Florida. They asked Texas EquuSearch to help look for Haleigh and to clear their names…

Something went wrong with their plan…..

Texas EquuSearch arranged for Misty Croslin Cummings to take a lie detector test.

The group that performed the test reported that she failed miserably.

Poor ole Misty is claiming she was pressured to take the test.

My question would be would it matter if you were pressured to take a lie detector test to clear your name? If you were truthful the first time or told the truth this time regardless of how that test came about it really should not matter.

After all the truth is the truth, no matter how many times you say it or write it, the truth will stay the same yet she managed to fail the test set up to clear her name.

Of course Texas EquuSearch turned the test results over to the Putnam County Deputies. Deputies say they still don’t have enough evidence to charge Misty with any crime.

Maybe it’s just me but maybe a law review would be helpful. Misty was after all responsible for the well being of a child, that child is gone regardless of the fact if she is dead or alive now Misty was suppose to be the responsible person the night Haleigh disappeared into the night.

Of course during these times Ronald has also had some other problems and ended up being arrested a couple of time. None of his arrest was related to his missing daughter.

This is really of no surprise to me, I posted in one of my first post that in the end of this case I would look for both of them to be arrested and finally held accountable for the disappearance of Haleigh.

I guess as long as Misty continues to change her stories and failing lie detector tests we are getting closer and closer to actually find out the truth of what happened to Haleigh Cummings.

Haleigh still missing, Ron & Misty back in the news.

As reported here the stories of Misty Croslin has been inconsistent since the time that Haleigh disappeared.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said they have spent over 30 hours interviewing Croslin and her stories have been inconsistent when it come to the stories Croslin has told about the last time she see Haleigh Cummings alive.

A Sheriff’s Captain told the media that her story hasn’t stayed the same about what actually took place in the home between the hours of 7pm and 3 am.

Even though there has been an anonymous poster leaving comments here that I was in error about the truthfulness of Misty Croslin, the police just backed up what I had reported earlier.

The sad facts are Haleigh is missing and it appears from the poll that at least 80% of the people voting share the same belief that I have and that would be that Misty Croslin knows more than she is telling.

I guess the anonymous poster can now send their anonymous comments to the Sheriff since it was his captain that went public with the fact that Croslin has been inconsistent with the truth of this case.

And for Ronald Cummings…

It has been reported by the media that the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Children and Families are now investigating claims by the children’s mother that Ronald Cummings has beaten his son and neglected the children repeatedly.

Some claim it just a custody battle between the parents and some claim there is a lot of truth to the claim.

The grandmother thinks the claims are false and making such an accusation is taking away from the search for Haleigh. But yet even though they called off ground searches some time ago, it’s still being reported in the media that searches are still being conducted.

Granted this would be the perfect opportunity for the mother of the children to make claims and try to get custody back of her children, but we have to wonder why she lost custody in the first place.

With all the inconsistent stories I cannot help but to think that Ronald and Misty both know more about this case than they have told anyone.

I still wonder if they are ever going to make the results of the Lie Detector that Ronald and Misty took public. OF course Ronald and Misty claimed they both passed, but I have yet to hear any official results released from the police.

I know from looking at the poll on my blog that most feel that Misty hasn’t been truthful (80% of the votes so far) and people seem to think there was abuse in the household (or at least 37% of the voters) while only 3% of the people voting seems to think they had a loving and caring family.

I think before this case is over we will see both Ronald and Misty in jail, celebrating their honeymoon. Sadly for them they cannot be in the same cell though…

One has to wonder why the sudden marriage took place, was it so they can claim protection in court and not testify against each other, or was it truly a ceremony of love, trust and respect for each other.

This is a sad case. My heart truly goes out to all of the family except for Ron and Misty.

I hope they can prove me wrong in this matter. Even though I don’t have high hopes of that ever happening, I can still hope.

Just like we all can still hope that Haleigh is out there alive and well somewhere…

Haleigh Cummings… What does dad do? Get a tattoo of course.

Ronald Cummings decided to make a trip to Pinellas County to get a tattoo.











He elected to get a tattoo of Haleigh on one leg since he already has a tattoo of his son on the other leg.

The tattoo parlor gave him a break with the price of the tattoo because Haleigh is missing.

Is it just me or does something seem wrong with this picture?

Granted people cannot stop living their life because of a tragedy like this but to drive all the way to Pinellas County for a tattoo? Just makes no sense. I think I would want to be there just in case. Or am I wrong for thinking that?

I think the news reported they were 70 miles north of Orlando and it takes a little less than 2 hours to drive to St. Pete from Orlando, just seems like a pretty long trip for a tattoo, good deal or not.

I can understand wanting to do something special to remember his daughter and wanting some type of closure in this ordeal, but I don’t understand how he could drop everything to go all the way to Pinellas County for a tattoo.

When I first read this in the news, the first thing I thought was I wonder if he used the support the family fund that has been set up to pay for this tattoo.

Oh well, just my thoughts. As the old saying goes, to each their own…

The search continues for Haleigh Cummings

The police set up a new search location, a dumpster.










According to the police one of the three cadaver dogs apparently picked up a scent at the dumpster and that prompted police to start digging through tons of trash.

The search ended up lasting several hours and at the end of the search, there was no new evidence recovered in the search.

Through out the search, 7 K-9 teams spent the day Thursday in the area of the mobile home where Haleigh was reportedly abducted.

Even with the ground search suspended, the police took the K-9 teams back over the area around the mobile home to ensure nothing was overturned during the first search.

Police still continue to receive tips and so far no new information has been uncovered in this case from the tips the police are following up on.

The investigative team has now resulted in using cadaver search dogs in the area where Haleigh Cummings has disappeared.

The Sheriffs Office called it a routine search to ensure no possibility is overlooked.

The Sheriffs spokesperson was also quick to add that the search with the cadaver search dogs was not in response to any of the leads they received.

The ground search for Haleigh had been suspended prior to this search and they brought in cadaver dogs from several counties to assist with the search. The dogs were brought in from Putnam, Marion and Volusia counties.

It has also been reported that the reward for information has been increased to $25,000

Now we have more stupid, sick criminals getting involved in this case and apparently they have taken the time and effort to set up bogus web sites to help fund the family in the search for Haleigh Cummings.

The family reported to the media that the only way to donate was through a Bank of America account where a fund has been established.

The family added if people wanted to donate to the Haleigh Cummings fund, to write a check to the Haleigh Cummings Family Relief Fund and take it too any Bank of America branch.

What a case this has started off to be. Sadly the life of yet another child is endangered and no one seems to know the truth of what happened the night Haleigh disappeared.

From the very start of this case it was reported that Haleigh Cummings disappeared from Satsuma, FL on 02/10/09 around midnight.

Now the strange circumstances started with the actual disappearance of Haleigh. It was reported that Ronald Cummings, 25, (father) was at work when she disappeared and his girlfriend Misty Croslin, 17 was home alone with Haleigh when she vanished into thin air.

Croslin reports Haleigh was put to bed around 8 or 9 pm on Monday February 9, 2009 and then at some point Misty Croslin reportedly woke up and found the back door propped open and Haleigh was missing.

Now oddly enough they reported that the back door stayed locked but there was no damage noted to the mobile home door when it was reportedly forced opened and propped open with a brick.

Now with the many different reports and tips from different tipsters it’s not unclear whether or not the girlfriend was even home. Some have reported she left the child alone and wasn’t even home, I guess that would explain the long delay in calling 911 to report a 5 year old child missing. Croslin has now denied these accusations and said she was home when Haleigh disappeared. But Croslin has told police many different inconsistent stories about what happened and where she was when Haleigh disappeared.

There also seems to be some confusion regarding the sleeping arrangements one new paper reported that Misty Croslin stated that she was sleeping next to the child and couldn’t believe she did not hear anything when she was abducted and then a short time later she was back in the media claiming the media made an error, she now claims she was sleeping beside someone else and not Haleigh.

To add more confusion to the case the police are reviewing inconsistencies in the description of what Haleigh was wearing when she was last seen alive. Croslin reported that Haleigh was wearing a pink shirt on the night she disappeared but police are reporting that they have that item of clothing in their possession. If she got the child ready for bed, one would think she could at least remember what she had the child wear to bed.

Misty Croslin has also told different stories to the police and to the media about the time of her discovery that Haleigh was missing. Of course if she would have called 911 immediately, the official time she found her missing would have been recorded, but since that did not happen, we now are left to figure out on our own which version of the story is true.

As with any case the police of course have to list anyone with any connection to this case as a suspect. It seems they must include Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin. They have reportedly taking a lie detector test and they both claim they passed or told the truth, yet at the same time there has been no official report made on the outcome of the test.

Now one part I really don’t understand is the fact of the delay in calling 911 or at least calling Haleigh’s dad to let him know that his daughter was missing. Since it was reported that he did not get off work and home until around 3 am, what would cause such a delay in making any notifications? And then add in the inconsistent stories about where Misty and Haleigh where when she disappeared, it certainly adds to the confusion of this case.

I mean if anyone has read any local on line news lately you would have read several stories that have been in the media about children being labeled as a hero for the actions they took in an emergency situation and yet we have people that claim she was too young to know what to do when she found Haleigh missing. Yet we have these children that are a lot younger than Misty Croslin that have taken heroic action to save a life.

I’m not really sure but something just doesn’t add up with the facts of this case so far.

Then if that’s not bad enough we have people that claiming that Ronald Cummings knows who took Haleigh and of course that alone was enough to get Geraldo Rivera involved.

Just a side note – I thought Geraldo Rivera was dead. I use to watch his show and it’s been years since I have even heard his name and yet there he was on TV trying to interview Ronald Cummings.

Through Geraldo’s investigation it reviled that there was a history of physical abuse with Haleigh and her family. When Geraldo confronted Ronald Cummings about these accusations he quickly denied them and said this mud slinging would not bring his daughter home. Then Geraldo was quickly asked to leave the area where the family has set up camp and been staying. The family has since been in the media reporting they wanted to hit Geraldo for his line of questioning but they elected not too.

We also Crystal Sheffield (Haleigh’s mother) telling Geraldo Rivera that Ronald Cummings had been abusive to her when she first got pregnant.

She said that Ronald Cummings was very abusive. She reports that he punched her in the back of the head and she also told the media of an incident where Ronald Cummings had back handed so hard it caused her to fall flat on her face on the porch.

Yet we still have Ronald Cummings denying he had ever been abusive to Haleigh or Sheffield.

Ronald Cummings said never, ever have I ever hit my child. Never, never have I ever hit any woman, period. Never.

Then if the case hasn’t been strange enough already we now have the cousin from Tennessee that was visiting when Haleigh disappeared.

Crystal Sheffield reports she has been told that the cousin is a sexual pedophile. Then Haleigh’s grandmother, Teresa Neves, was also reporting that Croslin described him as a jerk and she was worried that he was in town. Then Neves told the media that she could not tell them anything about the cousin, she only knew him by his first name, Joe.

So in this short amount of time the case has moved into Tennessee, a tipster reported that she called detectives in Knoxville and reported to have seen a man in a restaurant with a little girl resembling Haleigh. She reported that the man was in a red Toyota RAV4 and it looked like he was trying to hide the little girl with him.

Police in Florida haven’t released any vehicle information in this case and it was reported that the Tennessee officials turned the tip over to Putnam County Sheriffs Office.

The police have been investigating every angle they can in this case and they have even been interviewing the sexual predators in the area and with rumors about the arrest of a local sexual predator police have said they do have a sexual predator in custody but they have no reason to link him to Haleigh. The police said he missed his curfew but GPS proved that he was not in the area where Haleigh disappeared.

Now even though Ronald Cummings has denied being abusive to any women, it was reported that the state child welfare agency has investigated the Cummings family. The welfare agency refuses to release any information regarding that investigation.

Now today to add more twist and turns in the case, we now have Haleigh’s brother telling police that a man dressed in black snuck into her room and took Haleigh.

Sheffield said that her son and Ronald Cummings both recounted the same story to her.

Now how could they both tell the same story? If Ronald Cummings wasn’t even home how could he recount any detail about the disappearance of Haleigh?

But none the less today it was reported that her brother wants to find his sissy and said someone in black took her. Even though her son reportedly has information regarding the disappearance, Sheffield said she has not questioned him and she is not going to question him.

Even though there are more twist and turns in this case, the police are still working to clear up about 1600 lead they have received about this case. Sadly none of the lead has lead police to any trace of Haleigh.
